What they are failing to realize is that their games are getting poor to average ratings because they are making the games fool-proof nowadays.
I was actually excited about playing a game about a Silver Wolf whose bite causes humans to turn into werewolves but that excitement waned by the time I reached the end of two out of three chapters which basically had little to do with wolves or werewolves! Coincidentally, you play as two characters, just as you do in the Dark Romance series! I'm pretty sure Domini realized their ratings were tanking on all of the older game series releases so they used a genius strategy.pretend this is a new series by re-Titling all the games moving forward because a new series will automatically grab people's attention! Did you know that Domini had exactly 10 different game series prior to this tidal wave of new games?. Is this a brand new game series or just another chapter in the Dark Romance series? Does anyone else have a case of Deja Vu after playing Connected Hearts? I thought this was supposed to be a brand new series, can you make this claim when the format is exactly the same, the mechanics are identical, and the storyline is a mirror image to a game in the Dark Romance series? Does anyone else think this is deceitful and wrong? IF this was a one-time occurrence, I could cut them some slack, but the second their overall average ratings started to plummet, this developer started releasing a whole slew of new series games, TEN new games to be specific, and every single one of those 10 new releases has had games with the same MO as Spirit Legends, Enchanted Kingdoms, Fatal Evidence, Labyrinths of the World, Secret City, or Dark Romance. OOPS, I MEANT TO SAY CONNECTED HEARTS? Completed Game approximately 5.0 hours A reluctant werewolf trying to escape from a bad guy, with the help of his romantic interest might be just what you need to perk you up today. I would've liked a big, bad werewolf and a witch that is really witchy, but it's a good game if looking for an easy-play fantasy, no paranormal.
The stories are all basically the same, and just changing the title and characters is pretty lazy.Īnyway, though I wouldn't call this game a "winner", the storyline and its adventure was okay and filled a few hours with some good games and relief from the day's stress. Nothing solid like it once was and the poor reviews and low star ratings are a clue that Domini needs to rethink their future games to keep the fans they still have.
They are so very easy, full of silly task timer-wasters, and the fantasy theme is never-ending. Most HOPA gamers have many years of experience and we're always frustrated with today's games due to flimsy storylines and so little challenge. Sadly, however, this game is another example of Domini's lack of creativity and their disinterest in bringing new ideas and better stories to the table. I found nothing displeasing about the characters or voice-overs and I liked the clothing design.
Not a lot of Domini's favorite color scheme going on which was a good thing.
As usual the graphics were clean and beautiful, nice colors. My expectations were high I guess as I love werewolf stories and this turned out, in my opinion, to be more of a romance. The story's subject matter wasn't enough to keep the interest flowing, fizzling out for me because I got bored. Challenge was average but good variety, I thought. I rated the CE with 4 stars because I did enjoy some of the adventure and the HOPs and puzzles were fun. Up For A Little Witch Hunting? This story includes a little of that and some werewolf involvement, but not much of either to make it exciting.
